KINDINMI at NILS Nätverksträff 2019
Katarina Gahne had the chance to present KINDINMI at NILS Nätverksträff 2019 conference in Falun (Sweden) on 17th of October. The conference took place at Campus Lugnet.
KINDINMI in Tunis
During her Erasmus international credit mobility staff exchange at Institut supérieur des sciences humaines de Tunis, université El Manar, Véronique Simon had the opportunity to present KINDINMI for master students in intercultural studies on 17 October 2019.

KINDINMI workshop for mother tongue teachers at PH Wien
A KINDINMI workshop for in service teachers took place during the seminar “Bildungswissenschaft” at PH Wien. The workshop happened in module 1 of the Austrian nationwide course study for mother tongue teachers (30 EC) from 26.08.2019 until 31.08.2019.

KINDINMI Learning Conversations in Aberdeen
University of Aberdeen organizes a day of learning conversations on 14 September 2019 with Dr Thomas Bak, Lucinda Geoghegan, Alison Forbes and students from the BA Childhood Practice and MEd Early Years degrees at University of Aberdeen.
Work in progress: KINDINMI pedagogic kit
In August 2019, Kirsten Darling McQuistan, Lecturer in Education at Aberdeen University travelled to Uppsala University’s Department of Education to work with doctoral student Sarah Campbell and Senior Lecturer Véronique Simon on the KINDINMI pedagogic kit. We had a really fruitful weekend with much thought-provoking discussion around the key themes and philosophies underlying heartspace, our kit concept, and a lot of concrete progress on the curation, creation and design of the materials.
KINDINMI presentation in Bologna
The Italian National Agency INDIRE and the Spanish National Agency SEPIE organised together with Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna an international seminar on “Fostering Erasmus+ cooperation projects impact and cross-fertilisation on social inclusion and civic engagement“.

UNICEF Report: An Unfair Start. Inequality in Children’s Education in Rich Countries
In the world’s richest countries, some children do worse at school than others because of circumstances beyond their control, such as where they were born, the language they speak or their parents’ occupations. These children enter the education system at a disadvantage and can drop further behind if educational policies and practices reinforce, rather than reduce, the gap between them and their peers.
