Pour le meilleur et pour le pire: ethics and limitations in research within the field of educational sciences

At the “Journée franco-suédoise de la recherche” on 21st of October 2020 Véronique Simon presented in Stockholm her keynote “Pour le meilleur et pour le pire: ethics and limitations in research within the field of educational sciences”

In her keynote she reported: “I wish to succinctly discuss the limitation of research within sciences of education due to among other restrictions, the new rules resulting from the GDPR. As an example, I will present the Erasmus+ project KINDINMI – The Kindergarden as a Factor of Inclusion for Young Migrants and their Family, led by Uppsala university 2017-2020. In the first place, I will comment on the compulsory ethics applications for such a transnational project, which belongs to the field of humanities. Secondly, I will more specifically discuss the pros and cons of a strict ethics regulation for research projects related to education and migrations.”
